Sophia is the urban girl with the edge, style and voice.
The 19 year old singer/songwriter born in in Dubai and based in London, is an Electronic Hip Hop/ Dubstep Artist influenced by the likes of Rihanna, Katy B, The Weeknd and Aaliyah.
Having cultivated her own unique sound, Sophia’s music, labelled as ‘Electro Hop‘, presents club sounds infused with Dubstep and Drum n Bass elements, distinctive hooks and Hip Hop lyrical allure. Malibu Love Remix showed her first release into this exciting genre. The track proved a hit and reached No.1 on The Unsigned Top Charts. Her music has since received radio play with Rinse FM, DeJa Vu and The BBC.
Showing youthful energy, her fresh Drum and Bass single Blow It Up is her latest release in collaboration with DJ Tricky (Kool London) all of which are on her official E.P SOPHIA.
Sophia’s raw talent has gained interest from Grammy Winners Savant Soundz (Diddy, Wale) and Mack Woodward (Beyonce) with whom she has worked with as a songwriter in addition to projects for Cassie and Lupe Fiasco. She has recently written a track for Made in Chelsea star Caggie Dunlop.
In addition to being included in MTV UK’s Best Unsigned, she has had her song played on TV Shows such as Bedlam (Sky Living) and gained numerous magazine interviews and features including; Vibes, NuFlex, Essential Pop and Berlin’s hottest publication Kaltblut Magazine, hailing her the ‘Princess of Dubstep’.
